Supreme - Quest

If you frequent caravan shows, you’ll know how tempting it is to clamber inside those huge luxury caravans, marvel at the space and quality and think ‘one day’. Well, the Supreme Quest is undoubtedly one of those aspirational caravans, and for those lucky enough to have reached that ‘one day’ stage, this brand new 24ft offering awash with appealing features is well worth considering.

Supreme’s new flagship 24ft Quest model will impress with its European inspired level of luxury.

The aerodynamic Quest is truly a very large home from home with all the appealing features required in a luxurious caravan of today’s standards.

Supreme has introduced new ranges covering the off-road, semi off-road, touring and luxury sectors, with the Quest its latest flagship model. The Quest is available in 18ft-24ft sizes and is built using a Meranti timber frame on a 4” heavy duty hot dipped galvanized chassis.

The wow factor in the 24ft Quest is undoubtedly its overall interior finish. On entry you are greeted by a curved leather lounge that would comfortably sit four adults around a stylish table. The lounge area is a stylish place to relax, and the curved overhead cupboards offer both plenty of storage and an appealing design. The same can be said for the kitchen area; again plenty of well-finished cupboard space laid out in a contemporary curved design, while the stainless steel sink and kitchen work surface all help to make the holiday cooking experience relaxing and stress free.

Australian caravans have been very similar for many years, but some of the European caravans coming to our market have inspired the Australian builders to improve the furniture. Built with strength for Australian conditions the inside level of quality is more similar to a hotel room than a caravan.

The Australian-built Quest’s large Dometic fridge, NEC microwave, Swift Holiday oven (three gas and one electric burner) and decadent Waeco six-bottle wine cooler are enough to satisfy the most discerning luxury caravan buyer, while the general living area also boasts one of the caravan’s two 19” LCD televisions.
There is plenty of light provided by a large Alko skylight and the plentiful double-glazed windows, and combined with the large living space offered by a 24ft unit; the Quest has a valid claim for a true home on the road.

The Ensuite located between the living area and the bedroom – offers more than most. There is ample legroom to use the Thetford Swivel toilet, the sink area again can be likened to hotel room style, while the glass shower is light, nicely enclosed, and large enough to fit two if you were that way inclined. Cupboard space in the ensuite is again a real plus.

The bedroom features a cosy Queen wood-slated bed with innerspring mattress, and is accessible through the ensuite’s sliding door. Perhaps due to the large living area and ensuite the bedroom doesn’t have a huge amount of room to move, but if style is more your thing there is plenty in evidence with the nice headboard, quality finish on the cupboards and ample lighting all around. Another large Alko skylight above the bed is also ideal for ambient light or evening star gazers, while Air Command IBIS air conditioning keeps temperatures comfortable.

For this 24ft model, another layout variation is on offer for those not wanting the ensuite between the bedroom and living area. Instead, the lounge is at the front of the caravan, the middle sees an east-west bed and the ensuite situated at the rear. There will be more living area with this layout, but less storage space.

Moving outside, quick-drop stabiliser jacks are found on each corner, and in situ, the imposing Quest offers up a few extra exterior goodies. A side-mounted picnic table proves very useful for a hassle-free food or drink stop (under the Dometic 9000 awning if desired); there are external marine speakers, while a rear-mounted reversing camera is a handy safety feature.
A mesh tray under the A-frame (where two 9kg gas bottles are mounted) proves ideal for storing the jockey wheel, while a large front boot should easily hold the bulkier items that can’t be stored inside.

Wisely for such a big caravan with so many electrical items, a Stage 1 Solar Power system has been installed. Both inside and out, there is ample lighting and power points as you’d expect in a luxury caravan of this caliber.

The Supreme Quest is a beauty and can only be described as “The BMW of the range” such is the level of luxury. It is certainly one for couples who demand plenty of space and quality equipment, and if your ‘one day’ has arrived, the Supreme Quest is well worth a closer inspection.
